Objectives of the work placement programmes
- Enable students to apply the knowledge gained in naval, mechanical, and electrical engineering, renewable energy, automation, and port logistics, as well as in project management and technical leadership.

Structure of the work placement programme

Duration:
From 3 to 12 months, depending on the type of programme and area of specialisation.

Mode:
On-site, remote, or hybrid, depending on the company and the student’s location.

Project allocation:
Each student is assigned a specific project that delivers real value to the company, aligned with their area of study and specialism.

Assessment and monitoring:
Joint supervision between NMI and the company to assess technical competencies, professional skills, and overall performance.

Certification:
Each placement includes a final report, an evaluation by the company mentor, and an official NMI certificate, internationally recognised and suitable for inclusion in the student’s professional portfolio.
